Clive Yolande (C.Y.) Thomas is a Guyanese economist and political activist who served as a Professor of Economics and Director of the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Guyana. He is a leading figure in Caribbean political economy and dependency theory, known for his 'convergence theory' and his role as a co-founder of the Working People's Alliance alongside Walter Rodney.
